Was ist Girls-Mag?

Girls-Mag ist die Downloadplattform für Bildersets und Videos aus meinen Fotoshootings. Ich arbeite vorwiegend mit Amateurmodellen, weil deren Frische und Natürlichkeit am besten zu meinem Bilderstil passen. In den Sessions geht es nicht um Posen oder klassisches Modeln, sondern eher um Acting, also kleine Geschichten, die ich mit dem Mädchen bespreche, und sie dann mit meiner Kamera darin begleite.

Bei der Wahl der Klamotten, und wieviel das Modell von sich zeigen will, überlasse ich die Entscheidung immer ihr selbst. Sie soll sich respektiert und wohl fühlen, denn nur so hat sie die Ausstrahlung, die ich auf Bildern sehen will, die mein Label tragen.

Wie entstand Girls-Mag?

Girls-Mag ist vor vielen Jahren aus meiner Leidenschaft heraus entstanden, die Schönheit junger Frauen so unverfälscht wie möglich ins Bild zu übertragen. Damals war ich beruflich als freier Kameramann viel unterwegs für Reportage- und Doku-Drehs, und die Shootings in meiner Freizeit waren ein reines Hobby.

Meine schnörkellosen und authentischen Mädchenbilder fanden in den Fotocommunities jedoch so viel Anklang, dass ich 2007 mit GM1 versuchsweise eine Plattform gründete, auf der ich Bildersets meiner Shootings zum Download anbot. Die Resonanz war über Erwarten gut: mit meinem respektvollen und natürlichen Bilderstil hatte ich tatsächlich eine eigene Nische geschaffen im weiten Web.

So wurde Girls-Mag die Adresse im Internet für sinnlich-natürliche Mädchenfotografie, mit vielen treuen Fans weltweit.

Woher kommen die Modelle?

Meine Modelle sind meistens Anfängerinnen, die neugierig aufs Modeln sind und einfach mal in ein professionelles Shooting reinschnuppern möchten. Sie bringen genau die Frische, Natürlichkeit und echte Ausstrahlung mit, von der mein Bilderstil lebt.

Mit erfahrenen Profimodels arbeite ich gelegentlich ebenfalls, wenn mir eine besonders gut gefällt. Oft merkt man aber, dass Anfängerinnen noch spontaner, natürlicher und weniger routiniert vor der Kamera wirken. Genau das passt besonders gut zur Seele von Girls-Mag.

Zum Glück gibt es aber auch unter den Profis Ausnahmen, mit denen die Zusammenarbeit großen Spaß macht, zum Beispiel Sophy oder Nastya.

Wo geht die Reise hin?

In einer sich immer rasanter verändernden Welt, in der Visualisierungen jeglicher Form jederzeit verfügbar sind und in der Wahrnehmung der User kaum noch einen eigenen Wert haben, sehe ich Girls-Mag inzwischen als einen schützenswerten Ort, in dem jede Aufnahme real ist und ihre eigene Geschichte hat.

Ich beschäftige mich als Fotograf natürlich selber mit KI-generierten Szenen (angels-islands.com). Aber die Faszination eines realen Fotoshootings, die Interaktion zwischen Model und Fotograf, die Bearbeitung der Bilder, in denen inzwischen die Erinnerungen an 20 enorm intensive Jahre meines Lebens stecken, das alles ist unersetzbar.

Und das Feedback meiner User bestätigt mich darin, Girls-Mag in seinem inneren Kern genau so fortzuführen.

What is Girls-Mag?

Girls-Mag is the download platform for photo sets and videos from my photoshoots. I work primarily with amateur models because their freshness and naturalness fit my photographic style best. My sessions are not about posing or traditional modeling, but rather about acting out small stories that I discuss with the model beforehand and then accompany with my camera.

When it comes to clothing and how much of herself a model wants to reveal, the decision is always entirely hers. I want every model to feel respected and comfortable, because only then can she bring the genuine presence and authenticity that I want to see in images carrying my label.

How did Girls-Mag begin?

Girls-Mag was born many years ago from my passion for capturing the beauty of young women as naturally and authentically as possible. At the time, I was working professionally as a freelance cameraman on documentaries and television reports, while my photoshoots were simply a hobby pursued in my spare time.

However, the honest and unembellished style of my images attracted so much attention in photography communities that in 2007 I decided to launch GM1 as an experiment — a platform where visitors could download photo sets from my shoots. The response exceeded all expectations. With my respectful and natural approach to photography, I had unintentionally created a niche of my own in the wide world of the Web.

That’s how Girls-Mag became the go-to website for sensual, natural photography of young women, with many loyal fans around the world.

Where do the models come from?

My models are mostly beginners who are curious about modeling and just want to get a taste of a professional photo shoot. They bring exactly the freshness, naturalness, and genuine charisma that my photographic style thrives on.

I also work with experienced professional models from time to time, when I find one who suits my style particularly well. But I often notice that beginners come across as even more spontaneous, natural, and less polished in front of the camera. That’s exactly what fits the spirit of Girls-Mag so well.

Fortunately, there are also exceptions among the pros who are a lot of fun to work with, like Sophy or Nastya.

Where is this journey headed?

In a world that is changing ever more rapidly, where visual content of every kind is available at any moment and is perceived by users as having hardly any value of its own anymore, I now see Girls-Mag as a place worth preserving — a place where every image is real and has its own story.

As a photographer, I naturally explore AI-generated imagery myself (on angels-islands.com). But the fascination of a real photoshoot, the interaction between model and photographer, the editing process, and the memories of twenty extraordinarily intense years of my life that are embedded in these images — all of that is irreplaceable.

The feedback from my users continually reinforces my decision to preserve the core essence of Girls-Mag exactly as it is.
